West Country Summer Cruises in 2025 to France, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Devon and Cornwall

Leg 1 - 7 days - 7th June to 13th June 2025
RHYC Woolverstone to The Solent via France and Explore the Isle of Wight. A Summer adventure cruise down the English Channel with visits to Ramsgate, Boulogne, Dieppe, Fecamp and the Isle of Wight.
This can be an RYA course (CC, DS or CS)

Leg 2 - 8 days - 18th June to 25th June 2025
Solent to Plymouth via either Alderney/Guernsey or Falmouth/Fowey. Setting sail from Cowes, catch a good wind and make an English Channel crossing to the incredible Channel Islands and a visit to Alderney and Guernsey. Weigh anchor in St Peter Port and take the tide North across the English Channel to Dartmouth. Following an exploration of the Jurassic Devon coast, make port at Plymouth.

Leg 3 Plymouth to Plymouth - 7 Days - 27th June to 3rd July
Devon and Cornwall Coast Cruise. Sail the amazing Devon and Cornish Coasts. Visit Fowey and Falmouth, anchor up the Helford River, and complete your adventure at Plymouth.

Leg 4 - 10 Days - 4th July to 13th July 2025
A classic 350-mile Summer sail up the English Channel. Plymouth to RHYC Woolverstone. Cruise the scenic Devon and Dorset Coasts. Moor at Salcombe, Dartmouth, Weymouth and Poole. Navigate The Needles channel and into The Solent and Cowes. Plan your passage along the English Channel to Brighton, Eastbourne, and the white cliffs of Dover. Pop into Ramsgate, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and then head up the east coast to Woolverstone RHYC for the final leg.

SAIL AROUND THE UK IN 2026

In 2026, I am organising a Round UK Sail starting on 4th May 2026. This will consist of a total of 7 legs, each about 7 days long, with a day or two between legs. Each Leg will be priced at around £ 1,295, inclusive of marina fees, fuel, food and drink onboard, use of waterproofs, and RYA qualifications — Comp Crew, Day Skipper, or Coastal Skipper, if requested. The Crew would fund their travel to and from the yacht, as well as their meals ashore in pubs and yacht clubs.

Leg 1 - 4th May to 10th May
RHYC Woolverstone to Newcastle [Set your compass to North and visit Lowestoft, Humber, Historic Whitby, Seaham and finish at the superb marina in Newcastle.
This can be an RYA course (CC, DS or CS)

Leg 2 - 12th May to 18th May
Newcastle to Lossiemouth - including the wilds of Lindisfarne, cross the border to Scotland and sail the amazing Moray Firth, get a great welcome at the fine marina and town of Lossiemouth.

Lossiemouth through the Caledonian Canal to Oban.

Our 6 - 8 day cruises are a great way to go further afield than what we are able to do on a 5-day course. They are ideal for mile building, Yachtmaster Coastal and Day Skipper Qualifications. Regardless of why you choose one of these great sails, it will take your skills and confidence that one step further, while visiting some fantastic sites.
